If you know my mom, you know she would make this

If you know me, you know I like to bite off more than I can chew. And therefore I would decide to make peach cobbler from scratch, even though I have no idea how to.

If you know the peach growing season (which you do if you live in the peach state) you know that peaches are ripe in August and September.

If you watch this video you will see what would be possible with RIPE peaches.
If you ask me, I can tell you that when you attempt this with UNripe peaches, you will be completely unsuccessful. Blanching unripe peaches is like trying to peel a mango with a spoon.
If you live close by and went to the store at 10:30 on Saturday night, you would see me, in my pajamas....buying this.....

Like mother, like daughter I guess.
Love you mom!

ha ha ha... I love it and I love Lorraine! Good effort, I am sure come august/september you will be a master of fresh peach cobbler and pie!
Lisa, you and your Mom are both awesome! I promise to make you both a peach cobbler or pie...your choice...sometime during August or September.
hahahha that's awesome. i'm sure it tasted good though :) happy mother's day
Cute!
I bet you were successful in the end.
Ahh, but if you were to can some peaches during the summer season you could have fresh cobbler any time.... Yes, I actually canned some (under Richards close direction) and made cobbler, from scratch, for the first time EVER this spring! I may even try it again this year and you can do it with me : ) We'll pick up a box of peaches on our way back from Fl in July and they should be perfect at that time!
Sounds yummy!
Haha! I loved this! I had this same experience with homemade biscuits... which had got to be more pathetic than peach cobbler. How hard can homemade biscuits be?! Apparently too hard for me!
